I’m doing this show in Pine Lake GA (not far away) on Oct 2-3
and they are looking for more vendors,
- We still have a few empty spots — do you know of folks you’d recommend? (No more jewelry or photography vendors, but most other genres are still open.) Preferably fun and quirky art.
3 – You are listed on the LakeFest site. If you see an issue with how you are listed or would like to include a different link, just let me know.
4 – There are two contests at LakeFest that you might find fun to participate in in some way. Saturday from 11 – 2, there is a sandcastle building contest. We’re specifically trying to spark interest in the adult category, though of course the kids are welcome welcome welcome. And Sunday at 5pm is Floatzilla, our floating parade. Haul a (non-motorized) floating object down to the lake with all the rest of your stuff and join the parade! (And if you want to offer something of yours as a prize for either event, that’s welcome but in no way expected.)

The Gumbo Gala is a profit driven event that is focus on vendor success by given them the opportunity to market their work to collectors, art dealers and the general public who were not able to purchase their works at other venues. Selling potential is expected to be plentiful and the potential for a profitable outcome is very high.

FolkFest 2010 is in the books, we had a record breaking attendance and sales, Eric Legge, Missionary Mary Proctor, Paul and Deborah Flack, Mark Payton, Madison “Chicken Lady” Latimer and her dog doobie, Chris Beck, Martha Beadle, Ellie Ali and John Sperry hung out on Who-Ha Alley. Friday night was jamming, traffic was steady and we are all thankful for you folks that came out. If you have never been, you need to come next year. This is the most important Folk art event in the world…more important than the Outsiders Art Fair in NY, because of all the living artists represented. Well over 30 Who-Ha’s were sprinkled all over the event. God Bless you all.
